The three tribes did not depart that winter for their respective home hunting grounds. They stayed at the site of the gathering. Even after the wooden facade was completed, they did not feel safe. Those who knew how wood rots over the years knew too well it was temporary. All of that winter four guards remained at the structure night and day. The bonfire built the evening of the beings’ arrival had been kept burning for over five years while the encampment existed at Durrington. Its high flames were a reminder of the lives lost and the reason they had all stayed. Almost daily, a child would attempt to see between the logs, or even try to get past the guards and into the entrance. Many had climbed the trees to look down into the structure.
Two elders were forming a spreading opinion with one strong point. Their proposal was that if the saucer could leave, it could fly straight up and out of the structure and kill the people. It seemed a reasonable fear. By the first signs of spring a consensus was reached, that the walls of poles were not working and that soon the Beaker tribes would have to do whatever it takes to hide the beast permanently. As the frosts became less frequent, the Elders met to discuss the structure and its ability to continue to hide their very important secret. The day had been patiently waited for all winter. Every member young and old of the three tribes were eager for news of new plans for the silver beast. For two hours they marched from two directions in clumps of families and friends, hunters, some women and some children.

In the cold morning mist, under a sky of swirling ash-grey, in the well-trampled mud of the Durrington encampment, near the bonfire and the silver flying beast, an amassing of the tribes assembled after breakfast. Late arriving on that mid-morning were the Elders and their apprentices. The hunters dominated the meeting, most leaving their families to chores, they numbered more than three-thousand when the tribes stopped trickling in to Durrington. The large meeting formed a circle nearly 100 meters thick of Beaker peoples crowded around an oval clearing that contained the bonfire and about three meters from the fire, nine chairs of carved large sturdy logs formed a semicircle. Nearly all had their hoods drawn and held onto for cover from the spring winds as they leaned in and strained to hear the conversation that would determine their safety. The meeting began slowly, with hundreds in conversation all standing, many waving their hands high gesticulating the actions they were attempting to describe. Their rumbling conversations grew louder as the flurry of conversation among many near the center that lasted more than a half an hour before more orderly discussion proceeded. Unafraid of his opinion, Yavo a leader but a critic offered "We bury the monster right here." His figure at 6.1 feet shined flashing yellow from the fire, his pointer finger straight at the ground.
"They will find the bodies and see that our weapons and tools killed them. Then they will come looking for us."

Please be kind. Be productive. ATTACK THE ARGUMENT NOT THE PERSON. If you are incapable of this please move-on and check your emotions. Remember: the First Amendment is FIRST because we will never grow to be a better nation IF FREE OPINION IS NOT ALLOWED! This is why we really love the United States.
