Two rival personalities dominated this meeting. They were the first two to be listened to by all. The wise Elder Jobia responded to Yavo’s outburst. "No. You must all see that this is where the crime happened," Elder Jobia of the Southwest tribe pointed out passionately. "Certainly they will seek to find where their comrades had last been! As we do when someone does not return from a hunt. They will find the bodies and see that our weapons and tools killed them. Then they will come looking for us."
Quietly, the oldest member of Elders, Rafan of the Northern tribe, raised his staff, then briskly brought it down to thump the ground and he stood, "We must move the beast. It must be away from this place." The meeting quieted for Rafan’s demand for speaking time. "It will not slide across the land at our willing." Again, Yavo shouted from behind.
Many hunters offered enthusiastic “Yea’s.” Rafan remained standing and as he glanced at the various hunters and elders he knew, he nodded his head in agreement with the frustration felt throughout the circle. Another hunter near the fire stood and offered disruptively.
"We cannot make it fly to a hiding place. Yavo destroyed its innards with an ax." He pointed to Yavo angrily.
Without hesitation, Yavo defended his actions, "It might have already killed us if I had not done so you fool." Rafan took his seat on his log. Then asked Elder Vineao, of the Eastern Sea tribe, "What about the ocean? Certainly the great waters will hide it for all time."
"Elder Vineao, of the very hard working Eastern Sea tribe, it is too far from here for the very difficult task,” said Rafan of the Northern tribe.
"We must consider that we may not have time for a long and laborious journey across uneven and rocky land. It must be done before more come, and it must succeed without killing us in the process," added Rafan.
"How long before more come?" Shouted another hunter outside of the circle. "We do not know. They may be very far away in the stars, or maybe the stars are close to us." Jobia was speaking. "The others like them may not yet know of what happened. We may have days, we may have only one season, or we may have many years before more come. Whatever way we hide the beast, it must never be seen again and it must never escape and be able to take revenge on us all."
"Jobia speaks truth," declared Yavo without standing. "Aye. Aye. Aye," declared several Elders and the men in the outer circle. With spontaneous agreement, the hilts of their weapons were thumped upon the ground several times. Then most of the hunters shouted out: "Bury the beast! Bury the beast!" It was the first hopeful idea they could all accept, and the solemn and serious mood of the circle had been lifted. "Quiet!” Said Jobia, his voice raised. “We must select a location very soon. Tomorrow we Elders will divide into parties to journey in separate directions and we will survey this near land carefully."
"A sled will be needed to carry the beast. It will have to be a sled such as we have never fashioned. The site that we chose for its burial must be selected with this sled, and its movement across this land, closely in our study of the many hills, the rocks, and the trees. And it must be far enough away to not be seen when the other grey people come," Jobia concluded with a fearful tremor in his voice.

"Its lyrics, understood by all young and old and “before more come,” were the first and last lines of each verse. But when the project had ended, the song was lost, as it became forbidden, as it was feared to be a clue of what the people had done."

Please be kind. Be productive. ATTACK THE ARGUMENT NOT THE PERSON. If you are incapable of this please move-on and check your emotions.
